George and Lennie, two drifting ranch hands, come to work in the Salinas Valley. They are never able to work up a stake because simple-witted Lennie keeps getting them into trouble. George controls Lennie by talking about the rabbit farm they will have one day where Lennie may look after the rabbits if he is good.
