Huck escapes from the cabin his father has imprisoned him in and meets Jim, a runaway slave. Together they float down the Mississippi River on a raft. Life on the river ends when Jim is captured and Huck is reunited with Tom, who helps him escape. (Companion to: "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer").
