J.Q. Adams, B. Harrison, FDR, Kennedy. The presidency remains a republican office with no formal bloodline. The Presidents arranged here had high ideals of republican statescraft instilled in them from childhood. Each seems to have gained something a bit different from their famous political relations, but all brought to the office a keen sense of their family ties and of the responsibilities connected to the family name.
