Dating abuse has been estimated to occur in as high as 90 percent of teen dating relationships, when psychological and emotional abuse is included in the definition. At least one in five girls between the ages of 14 and 18 will experience physical abuse, which has been observed in dating partners as young as 12. boys are not immune: one in ten male teens will fall prey to a female abuser. This program teaches teens to recognize a potential abuser, how to escape an abusive relationship, and how to help a friend who you believe is being victimized. .
